Hi I just turned 43... my menstrual cycles come monthly even 2 a month sometimes.. but for the month of Nov. I haven t had one... the last one was the 2nd week of October. i have an app on my phone that is on target... and i haven t been feeling any symptoms for me it s bloating & typically i have a bad headache that lasts up to 3 days prior to it arriving. Also, my tubes have been tied and burned. so i guess my question is ... is there any cause for concern or can i just wait it out at least until mid December before contacting my physician? Thank you,
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy or any hormonal disturbances in the body like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease. Moreover, it is common to get irregular and prolonged periods in the perimenopausal period. Since you have got tubectomy done, chances of pregnancy are extremely low. I would suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done, which most probably be negative and further consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated.
