What Causes Aching In Neck While Turning Head?

I am having some aching in my neck. Mostly on the right side. When I turn my head back and forth I hear a "snapping " sound. Not in a lot of pain, more of an ache and nuisance. I am a male, 66 years old. Fairly active.

Should I see a chiropractor?
