What Causes Aching Of Shoulders While Lying On The Sides?

lately my shoulders ache at night if I lay on my right or left side. It's almost if they were pinched. The ache continues threw the night until mid morning when it subsides. any ideas?

I am male 68, 6'2" aound 235. No health related problems.

I have been very active throughout my life.
