What Causes Acid Reflux And Vomiting?

I have been having a lot of acid in my stomach mostly when empty. This has gone on for about 3-6 mo. The other day I ate a baked chicken sandwich and threw up 7 hours later. After throwing up an hour or so later I ate a small bowl of organic fruit & nut cereal and had no problems. It seems as though if I eat small soft meals I m ok. I had an endoscopy about 10yrs ago and the Dr. said I had Gastritis. I m wondering if I may need my gall bladder checked.

Hello
I would get an ultrasound of your abdomen to see if you have gallstones, but I would also repeat the endoscopy to check for gastric reflux, gastritis, and possibly a peptic ulcer.

I would also get an H pylori screen to check for a stomach infection with that bacteria since it can be cleared with a course of antibiotics
