What Causes Acid Reflux While On Metoprolol Tartrate?
Went on (50MG)Metropol Tartrate 5 years ago for blood pressure. Since then I developed severe Sinus drainage, which I feel was caused by the Blood pressure meds. I now have severe heartburn as a result. Now have to watch everything I m eating. Decided to gradually wean myself off Metropol Tartrate 6 weeks ago. Took last 1/4 pill two weeks ago. I now have periodic headaches.....will the drainage and headaches stop soon

Usually, Metoprolol drug may not cause gastritis if you take it after food. But few patients, if they are allergic to the tablet, then there may be a chance to develop gastritis. I think you have also suffered from allergic rhinitis.
Avoid cold drinks, freeze water, and smoking. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargle thrice a day for five days. Please consult your physician for alternative antihypertensive medicines.
