What Causes Acidic Feeling In Tongue After Drinking Wine?

Hi Last night I drank a glass of good red wine with friends but it tasted like a really cheap fermented wine in my mouth. I had an acidic feeling all over my tongue. My friends said that the wine tasted great and couldn't understand what was wrong. What could cause this reaction?

Cannot say, not having examined you (or the wine). Frankly, the data is very strong that people are overly influenced by expectation on how they experience wine.
1) tannins bind to proteins on the tongue and give a .. well.. tanned feeling.
2) wine has acidity
3) sometimes it can be off.
Some diseases you are very unlikely to have (b12 deficiency) may make the tongue lining thin.
