50 yr old female...having acid/heartburn problems--never had them before until the past several months. eating even small meals, I feel stuffed and can experience pain & burn. Numerous times have gone to bed only to wake an hour or so later vomiting--the acid from that is bad enough that over 24 hours later my chest'throat still have a cold burn to them when I breath in
Understanding your concern. Acidity and heart burn after eating as per your query are possible symptoms of GERD i.e gastroesophageal reflux disease. Food rich in spices causes formation of acid in stomach and it regurgitates into esophageous anf mouth and causes heart burn and bad taste in mouth.I would suggest you to have proton pump inhibitor medicines and H2 blockers like Omeprazole , Ranitidine if antacids not giving you the desired effects. Best and natural trearment to relieve heart burn is use of lemon carbonated drink . Take a glass of water with one ENO pouch dissolved in it to get immediate relief. Well prevention is more required in this case. you can chew a gum after meal this will help in producing saliva which inturn help in digestion. You should consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and he can also advise you to get Endoscopy done to confirm the diagnosis.Avoid going to bed immediately after having food. Avoid too much spices in food.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
