Hi thanks for asking question.
You have query regarding mode of transmission of acinetobacter.
This organism is widely distributed in surrounding and it can be present in fresh water and soil.
Our normal bacterial flora of oropharynx and skin flora also containing it.
As far as A. Lwoffii is concerned it is transmitted mainly through hospital acquired infection.
It will lead to opportunistic infection.Mean when your immunity is low it can lead to serious infection.
There is no clear cut evidence regarding its spread through water. But according to few study actinobacter can spread through source out side the hospital.
I hope this will solve your query.
Thanks.
