Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Acute diarrhea--soup actually went through to bowels just after eating it, including the solids. First day was waking up to diarrhea, vomiting, and later fever. Second day no fever, vomiting some, and diarrhea. Third day acute diarrhea with some vomiting. Flu or something else?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of acute diarrhea and vomiting which seems to be due to viral infection leading to acute gastroenteritis and your symptoms could be secondary to stomach infection.
It seems to be due to electrolyte imbalance in body or food allergy . I would suggest you to visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined if symptoms keeps on persisting. Take over the counter anti histamine drug .
Drink lots of water to maintain adequate hydration or take ORS . Avoid fast foods, carbonated drinks & gas producing food products like cabbage, etc. You should take soft, plain, non-spicy foods.
You should avoid intake of outside food. You should lessen use of milk and milk products. You should take tab norflox tz twice daily with tab lomotil twice daily for 3 days. Drink warm water with one spoon of honey .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
