Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yesterday I woke up and bent over to pick something up. I got so dizzy and couldn't recover then I fell. This morning I woke up with the bed spins out of my sleep. I also have nausea. The nausea has continued 1 1/2 hours later and can't walk a straight line. It almost feels like I have been drinking. Should I be concerned? I never experienced anything like this before

Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Divakara's Response
HI Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic .
Dizziness could be due to low or high BP , Low or high Blood sugars , Anemia , Abnormal sodium levels in blood , Thyroid problems , Inner ear problems , Heart or Brain Problems .
But in your case the Dizziness that started in a particular position indicates more towards Inner ear problems . There is no need to be concerned but you need to consult an ENT specialist for this . Ask him to do Dix Hallpike maneuver and treat accordingly .
Hope this answers your query . Any clarifications or Queries feel free to ask. Happy to help you. Regards.
