What Causes Acute Insomnia?

My whole life if been trying to go to sleep most of time and fail because I think of something like it s moving too fast or its too big and I just freak out. I think hurt my brain because ever since I was a baby I would rock my head to go to sleep an sometimes hit my head I don t know why and I think they are links iv been so worried
