Dear patient
All cough syrups have common content of codeine phosphate which is addicting. It is type of opioid drug which are centrally acting and habit forming. So when a person starts taking cough syrup unknowingly he gets addicted to it. You should visit deaddiction center nearby you and get yourself properly counselled. This is not easy task but with hard work and patience it can be done. All the best.
