What Causes Aggressive Behaviour In A Child After Taking Topamax?
Hello, My son was prescribed Topamax and we have slowly upped his doseage over the last few weeks. Today he is experiencing severe agitation and erratic behavior that isn t normal for him. COuld this be a side effect of the medication? He is also on Lamictal

Topiramate can at times cause psychiatric side effects such as confusion, nervousness, changes of mood. So it may be a side effect of the medication. However, you should contact his doctor, before blaming it on Topamax a neurological exam to exclude other causes may be necessary.
