What Causes Allergic Reactions To Oak Ant Bites?

I am allergic to oak ant bites when I get bite it swells up 4x very painful the entire area for over a week and itches for 2 weeks Benadryl does not help unless taken in large doses what medication can I ask my Dr for that I can take immediately after a bite

**

1. Since the symptoms are there for 2 weeks thus anaphylaxis can be excluded but if the reaction is extensive you may ask for emergency medicines like:
. Inj. phenarmine [anti allergic/anti histaminic]
. Inj. Hydrocortisone and
. Inj. Adrenaline [physiological antagonist of histamine]

2. If you notice any difficulty in breathing,swallowing, restlessness and anxiety get emergency treatment as soon as possible.

PS. Although severe anaphylaxis is not that common, but can/may lead to shock, cardiac arrest, and unconsciousness
