What Causes Allergy,hacking Cough Along With Pain And Discharge From Eye?

I have an allergy, with sinus, hacking cough. Can t sleep flat at night. Have to sit up. My main problem is my left eye. It is hurting and has a drainage. I tried rinsing with warm water and salt, but need your advice. I also took a Claritin for allergies.

Hello and welcome.

Your discharge from your eye could indeed be due to an allergy and so I would recommend a better anti-histamine if this one is not working like pheniramine, chlorpheniramine, etc. I would also recommend a visit to your ENT for an X-ray PNS.
