What Causes Amenorrhea?

Hi, I m 18 years old recently married to my lovely husband I ve been with for almost a year. But I haven t had a period in 11 months. I had blood when I wiped about 3 weeks ago. I thought I was starting my period due to the blood and pain but I never started. I was wondering why I am not having periods, can I get pregnant and if I can, how? I thought I may be pregnant after the blood and I have taken 6 pregnancy test and they all came back negative.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You will need to have some tests and examinations done to know for sure why you are not having the periods. There are blood tests to be done such as TSH, prolactin, progesterone, estradiol, testosterone, DHEA, FSH, CBC, etc.
You may also need a gynecological visit and probably a transvaginal ultrasound.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
