What Causes Amenorrhea?

Hello I m am 19 years old and for the past three to four months I haven t had my period I haven t done a pregnancy test because I have no symptoms, not getting my period for so long was normal before it would occur often but now i am sexually active an I would like to know if you can help me understand why have I been having this problem thank you. Hello,

Not getting a pregnancy test in spite of being sexually active is extremely irresponsible. You said that you have no symptoms of pregnancy but it is always good to be sure. Since it has been three months over your period I would advise you to get a pregnancy test done immediately. If that is ruled out get a USG abdomen done and also a thyroid profile as PCOD and thyroid disorders can also lead to amenorrhea.
