What Causes Amenorrhea?

I haven t had my period for more than 3 months now. I took a at home pregnancy test and it came back negative. I ve been off the birth control shot for a year and the last time I had intercourse was in November. Does this mean A. I might be pregnant even though the test came back negative or B. I can no longer produce eggs and I can not have any kids? I already have an appointment with a specialist on Wednesday but I cant wait any longer. Please tell me what might be wrong with me.

Hi, I think you should do a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries. There can be various reasons for amenorrhoea. If pregnancy test is negative, you are not pregnant. It can be due to some thyroid disorder or ovarian pathology.
