What Causes An Abnormal Liver Functioning?

i had 2 blood tests and have abnormal liver function on both tests taken 2 weeks apart. I had an ultrasound they found a couple of cysts and gall stones that they didn t seem worried about. However the PA said i needed to see a gastroenterologist but would not tell me what they were looking for which made me very concerned. What could they be looking for.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.

Detailed evaluation is required to find out the exact cause.

If there is any diagnostic confusion, ultrasound-guided biopsy may be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
