What Causes An Allergic Rash On The Roof Of The Mouth?

I think I have an allergic reaction to something with a bumpy rash on the top of my mouth. I felt tingling after drinking a strong ginger beer (the ginger was strong). The roof of my mouth feels like I have little bumps all over. Sound like an allergic reaction? Thank you!

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It can either be an allergic reaction while there is also a possibility that you have got chemical or thermal injury of the roof of mouth leading to tingling, inflammation and bumps..
I would suggest you to start gargling with a solution containing 1:1 concentration of milk of magnesia and benadryl..
Do soda bicarbonate solution gargles.
Do warm saline gargles..
Avoid all those foods or drinks after taking which you suffer these symptoms..
Before you take your meals gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine as it will not cause any pain during meals..
Suck ice to reduce inflammation and healing of bumps..
Drink plenty of cool water and avoid spicy foods..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
