What Causes An Altered Sense Of Smell?

I have for the past few months had this issue of smelling a strange odor similar to cigarette smoke and I can tell that it is coming from my nose it s not in my surroundings no one around me can ever smell it and I am not a smoker could this be a symptom of something?

itis problem with olfactory nerve. the cigarette like smell can be psychological.may be getting from neighbour like passive smoking. counseling from clinical psychologist is requered. you can make it a habit of accepting it as part of life.it will not have any bad effect with you.
