What Causes An Early And Light Menstrual Period?

hi, i had my period on July 12th. It lasted 4 days, and I was expecting my next period on August 16th. however, since 3 days ago, August 9th, I've found brownish discharge, not too much. I'm really scared this might be implantation bleeding. Could stress be another possible cause for this early light 'period'?
