Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
having ache in left side I had an pelvic ultrasound and tranvaginal it showed fibroid mildly enlarged cyst on left ovary and abnormally thickened of 2.3 cm. could this ache be from ovary. suggestions. I had a ct scan of chest and abd in late august with no signs of tumors etc just the ovary cyst. it is scary wondering what this could be and what to have done next
Ovarian cysts are mostly Benign in most of cases Hormonal pill prescribed for that... If medicine can't resolve it in month or if cyst is looking abnormal in USG than better to remove it laproscopically...
Fibroid size is not mentioned by you... Usually it is asymptomatic and found incidentally..
If fibroid large enough and Symptomatic than it needs to be removed as well...
Take care
Consult gynecologist for examination and further work up accordingly
Hope your concern solved
