What Causes An Enlarged Thyroid Despite A Normal Thyroid Report?

I have an enlarged thyroid, but my bloodwork about it , came back normal ,and I also have two liver function that are high,I haven t been feeling well for sometime, I also have a lot of pain and soreness in my neck. Do you have any idea what is wrong with me,I am 51 years old and a female. Please help, I had an ultra sound on my thyroid, this past week and I have a live ultra sound this coming Monday, I haven t heard anything about my test on my thyroid yet. Thank you.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Your liver enzymes are high but value has not been mentioned here...
If liver enzymes two folds high than active search done for rule out cause for that

You should be investigated with USG abdomen and investigate with viral marker especially for HAV, HBV, HCV by serological ELISA testing

If specific underlying cause present than treated accordingly

Infectious mononucleosis like viral infection also can lead elevated liver enzymes in which Symptomatic management done

Investigate with USG neck for thyroid, if enlarged and thyroid profile normal than goiter might be the cause

Take care

Consult physician for examination and further work up accordingly
