What Causes An Indentation With Swelling Around It Above The Eyebrow?

Good Evening, my husband was walking back from supper in the city and the streets were dark and both sides of the street had construction work on the sidewalks. As he was turning the corner he ran into a pole that was left in the middle of the walkway. He hit his head just above the right eye, on the inner eyebrow. He dropped to his knees and it was bleeding. There is a 1/2 in gash and swelling now, the bleeding has stopped and he has cleaned the wound and has applied a cold compress. He also took 200mg of Ibuprofen. I ve asked him if he feels dizzy, nauseous or any pain or anything out of the ordinary and said it hurts and that s it. What should he do or lookout for in the next 24 hrs. He is away on a business trip and I am home. Luckily 2 business associates were with him and are attending to him. He seems ok, just angry. What should he do?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi if he develops severe heaviness in head, nausea or vomiting in the next week--he should show a doctor. Otherwise, not to worry. He will be fine. Local pain does not matter--regards
