What Causes An Infant To Have A Bark-like Sound While Sneezing?

My infant has had a bark - like sound when he sneezes since birth. Could this mean that something in his throat anatomy is underdeveloped? Our Pediatrician heard him sneeze and has never heard of it before and needs time to research. Any ideas what it could be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, bark-like sound when sneezing is related to non-well calcified voice cords. Should check with ENT and lung specialist.

If everything is ok, then, should give Vit-D supplement to help calcification and development.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
