my husband has a giant pimple like bump on his face. it grew into a grape size over night and is extremely hard. while taking a nap it oozed out very thick green puss. the smell is so bad from it. almost like rotting meat. what is it? YYYY@YYYY

It looks like a large pustule from what you have described. Since the pus is greenish in color, it is likely to be infected with a form of bacteria that is causing the foul smell.
It would be prudent at this stage to check blood sugar levels as sometimes Diabetes may manifest as large pus filled swellings called carbuncles.
