What Causes An Itchy Cyst Like Spot On The Buttocks?

I am having an issue with a cyst-like spot on my buttocks. It started out as boil-like spot; I ve had a few before, they last a few days and heal and they re gone. But this one got more and more tender and then after a few days I noticed it had burst. I looked at it in the mirror and this cyst like spot had pushed through. It s not really sore anymore but it itches. What is this and will it heal on it s own?

You might be having furunculosis which is an infection of the hair follicle.It can be treated with topical antibacterial creams like mupirocin.You must avoid pricking or fiddling with them. A short course of oral antibiotic like azithromycin might also help.
