Hi, I'm a 16 weeks pregnant lady, I had noticed a large red spot on my left leg a week ago, it vanished partially and expanded to a new zone just next to the old one, It feels burning, itching. Is this spot harmful to me or my baby? Thank you for your reply

Do not worry so much.
It is a normal physiological phenomenon and it is not harmful to you or your baby.
It is common to feel itchy, particularly around your growing belly as your skin becomes dry and stretches to accommodate them. Your changing hormones might be causing the itching as well.

If you have severe itching late in pregnancy accompanied by dark-colored urine, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and fatigue, consult to your doctor as it could be signs of some other disease.

Also you can consult a dermatologist to rule out skin disease like urticaria.

Also you should use loose cotton garments and you should keep your skin moisturized all time.

All the best. Take care.
