What Causes An Oval Shaped Lump Underneath The Armpit?

I have been having an oval shaped lump about an inch and a half underneath my armpit. It moves around and it hasent grown in size ever since I got a doctor to check it. I don t know how long it has been there since I noticed it but I am thinking of getting it checked again. In the mean while I am worried it might be something bad. I have done some research online but it s too hard to tell. Any idea what it might be??

Hello and thanks you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can with my answer.

This may be swollen lymph node and probably is,while some other diagnoses are rare and include lipomas or tumors. You should do ultrasound and needle biopsy if required to establish exact diagnosis especially if you have pain and there is quick growth.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
