What Causes Anal Bleeding While Suffering From A Varicocele?

My husband was diagnosed with varicocele a week ago and now he s noticing tiny amounts of blood on his toliet paper when he wipes (meaning out his butt).....can this be connected to his varicocele in any way? He was prescribed 600 mg of Ibuprofen, but he only takes two a day (one in morning, one in evening) and always takes it after a meal.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

A varicocele is an enlargement of the veins within the scrotum. These veins are called the pampiniform plexus.

A varicocele only occurs in the scrotum and is very similar to varicose veins that can occur in the leg.

The blood from your husband's anus is not related to varicocele. You should check with his doctor as he may have haemorrhoids. This is a probability.

His doctor will confirm the diagnosis after examining thoroughly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
