Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 49 years old, I am female, occasionally I have blood on the tissue when I wipe after a bm, it is bright red, not very much blood either, and it does not hurt. Also, i have had three days in the last two weeks that I have thrown up. All of those times happened to be in the morning. I dont know if one symptom has anything to do with the other but I am a bit concerned. When I have thrown up there has been almost no nausea beforehand. Just throw up without much warning. What do you think could be wrong?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Bleeding from anus what you are experiencing could be due to following reasons: 1. Fissure-in-ano. 2. Hemorrhoids. For its evaluation, you need to undergo per rectal examination. Based on the lesion present, it can be managed either conservatively or may need surgical intervention. Kindly consult Surgeon in this regard for clinical evaluation and appropriate management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best. Regards, Dr. Ashakiran.S., MBBS., MD.
