What Causes Anal Leakage?

A little embarrassing but.....I have seeppage from my anus frequently... Had polyps removed with colonoscopy early this summer.... The results were non cancerouse but I was told that I would have to be rechecked in 18 mo and 3 years... The bowel issues have been worsening (& the removal of polyps neither helped nor exasperated it... ) for years... I used to jog a bit in the mornings and would frequently have bowel problems before I could get home... Now I barely know that I have had a bowel accident. There is no pain... My diet has improved these last few years and I have maintained a weight loss of about 40 # for over a year... (195 down to 155) I am 5 9... 57 yo female. My sister died of primary peritoneal cancer several years ago... Besides this my bladder does not drain completely unless I change position or twist... Seemingly unrelated , but making the bowel incontinence more difficult is that I do not have a keen sense of smell anymore... I also am quite lethargic at times, despite the weight loss and better eating... (Close to paleo, but not perfect)... Any blood work I have had in the last few years come back normal.... I take vitamins and supplements but the only prescription medications I take regularly are for allergy/ sinus/ asthma and occasionally I use an inhaler..
