What Causes Ankle Pain And Numbness In Feet?

my ankles have been in severe pain for months now, little toe and left side of left foot has also been numb for months. I was just told i have abnormal liver tests, gi doctor wants me to have a liver biopsy to confirm autoimmune hepatitis or fatty liver. she says i have conflicting lab results. If the ankles are a symptom of my liver, what can I do to make them stop hurting so much?
