What Causes Anxiety After Taking Escitalopram Oxalate?
yes, for many years, I have been taking Lorazepam 1 mg tablet. Recently the doctor changed it to Escitalopram Oxalate. Lorazepam help me function well without any anxieties, nervousness. I would take one tablet as prescribed once a day. Sometimes I could skip a day or two; no more than that. The Lorazepam finished this week and started the new prescription. This medication makes me more nervous, cannot function and I am also more fearful. Should I give this medication a chance, or should I see my doctor to change it back to what I was of taking. Nervousness, postural hypotension, increased sweating, insomnia are some of the documented ADR [adveerse drug reaction] of the drug and because the choice of medicine will vary from doctor to doctor, and from locality to locality, so initially remain under single supervision and let your body know about the effects of the drug prescribed and thereafter one can change/add or substitute a drug [in consultation with your psychiatrist].
2. Eat a healthy diet, stay away from caffeine, alcohol, spices, pickles, drink green tea, take apple, banana, dates, practice relaxation techniques like yoga, meditation, and Pranayam
3. Since drug therapy is generally only a palliative treatment, we have to look at cognitive and behavioral strategies and especially nutritional strategies.
