Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Anxiety And Body Tremors After A Rotator Cuff Surgery?
I recently had rotator Cuff surgery and a second arm needs this same surgery. I am still doing rehab. Only five months out from surgery. Since the surgery I have developed a nerveousness that has affected my body. Sort a shakiness. Also the arm that had surgery has caused pins and needles in the arm and hand. The arm that needs surgery has the same symptoms. Any advice?
I can understand the agony you must be going through which in itself may be the cause of your anxiety as there is the development of pins and needles in both upper limbs. Since there is the development of such symptoms in both the upper limbs, we have to find the general causes of such symptoms as follows:
- Hypothyroidism.
- Diabetes mellitus.
- Any other autoimmune disease.
- Cervical spondylitis or so.
For this you need the following:
A proper clinical evaluation by a team of doctors for clinical evaluation, examination and relevant investigations to get the root cause and get you treated accordingly. This will help to get the exact cause and the proper management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
