What Causes Aortic Aneurism And How It Can Threaten Your Health?

I need info regarding an aneurysm in the aorta in heart. My Husband was just made a where he has two in that area. one large 10-12 mm and other smaller. Plus has a blockage that need a stent...this all came to light after a trip to the ER and a heart catheter...just need info

Dear patient,

The consideration of surgery for an aneurysm of the aorta is based on size and risk factors, such as Marfan's syndrome and other connective tissue disorders. Usually, for thoracic aneurysms, a cut off value of 5 cm is used, and in the abdominal aneuurysms is 5.5 cm.
