Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Appetite Loss Along With Dizziness And Fatigue?
I have had the flu now for seven days. I have no appetite and am extremely weak. When I got up this morning - just to shower and get dressed = took everything out of me. My muscles burn. I get very lightedheaded and dizzy. I have been resting, taking Dayquil and Nyquil round the clock, and Motrin for the achiness. I am a diabetic type 2, have htn, hypothyroidism, hx of lyme s disease and chronic fatigue syndrome. I am just completely out of energy. I still get chills and get a low grade fever. What would you recommend? Not sure, if I should go to hospital or continue to self-medicate at home. BTW - I am a RN.
Diabetes and hypothyroidism patients may develop vitamin B12 deficiency and chances of deficiency of calcium or serum electrolytes etcetera. Please check it out, also check for hemoglobin status, see your sugar is under control or not. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
