What Causes Appetite Loss And Memory Loss After Taking Rcifax?
Doctor prescrib my mother rcifax400mg though she dont have loose motions or dihoria she is javing problem of less food apitite along with memory losst problem thats it so doese it safe to take this medicine and she is given duphalac syrup 2 time 5-10ml. Sos iam bit confuse so please suggest .

The Rcifax is a gut sterilizer, not necessarily prescribed for every diarrhea patient. As there is simultaneous prescription of Duphalac which is used for hepatic or other encephalopathy patients to reduce blood ammonia burden; I think she is having central nervous system involvement from high ammonia or other issues. Both of the drugs will help her in best way to decrease the burden of excess metabolites harming the body.
