What Causes Armpit Pain And Numbness In Fingers?

I m 25 and about a week ago started noticing a slight pain in my armpit. Pain moves around and causes numbness sometimes down to my fingers. I m not sure what it is and if I should be concerned. Pain does not interfere with lifting or any normal activities.Today I began feeling a little off and slightly dizzy. Not sure of related or because I am so stressed about my arm

Hi,

There are several potential causes of armpit pain and numbness in fingers, including:
* Pinched nerve: A nerve in your neck or shoulder may be compressed or pinched, causing pain and numbness in your arm and fingers.
* Thoracic outlet syndrome: This condition occurs when nerves and blood vessels in the space between your collarbone and first rib are compressed or squeezed, leading to pain, numbness, and tingling in the arm and hand.
* Shoulder or rotator cuff injury: Injury or inflammation in the shoulder or rotator cuff can cause pain and numbness that radiates down the arm and into the fingers.
* Lymph node infection or inflammation: Swollen or infected lymph nodes in the armpit can cause pain and discomfort.
* Breast issues: Breast infections, cysts, or other breast-related issues can cause pain and discomfort in the armpit.
* Heart-related issues: Although rare, armpit pain and numbness in the fingers can be a sign of a heart attack or other heart-related issues.

In the meantime, you can try some self-care measures to manage your symptoms, such as resting your arm, applying heat or ice to the affected area, taking over-the-counter pain relievers, and doing gentle stretching exercises. If your symptoms worsen or you experience any chest pain, shortness of breath, or other concerning symptoms, seek medical attention right away.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
