What Causes Arms And Hands Numbness With Pain?

I have experience numbess in my right arm that goes down to the hand and fingers for over a year now. Now it has gotten worse that both my right and left arm and hands get numb and its now so severe until i cannot sleep at night because the pressure in my hands is so intensed i cannot make a fist and its slightly painful. I get some releive or most releive when i stand and walk around. During the day there is some residual numbness but not as severe. could this be a sign of laten syphillis?
