What Causes Arms, Back And Breast Itchy Spots With Redness?
My husband came home one day about 2 weeks ago with round quarter size red itchy spots on his upper arms and on the side of his back by his upper arms. He had some on his legs. He has been using cortisone cream and curel cream for itchy skin. I just came down with them in the upper arms and back of elbow area. The first one I got was on the side of my right breast. That is almost completly gone but the one on my arms are there and are itchy. I am doing the creams like my husband. I have stripped our bedding down because I thought that is how I got it. We haven changed any laundry or bar soap so it can t be that. Any ideas what it could be?
Hello Thank you for posting on HCM From your description, it seems you have got Tinea corporis, a sort of fungal skin infection. I would recommend you consult a dermatologist for proper management. I generally recommend proper course of oral antifungal drug like fluconazole / itraconazole along with local application of sertaconazole or luliconazole cream over affected areas. Take oral antihistaminics for itching as required. Hope this will take care of your problem Thank you Dr Hardik Pitroda
