Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hey, 24/f never had children. I noticed some time ago that my breasts were slightly uneven, as it goes with some women. However my left breast is... I ll describe it as best I can. There is a slight indentation near the bottom. No soreness, redness, swelling, or pain however. It s been like this for as long as I can recall. I just wanted to ask if this is normal or should I set up an appointment with my Doctor, or is it something natural?
As you mentioned, there is no soreness, redness, pain or swelling, you don't need to consult a doctor for examination. To those who come to my clinic with similar symptoms i advise the following: 1) Keep palpating your breasts for any lumps or tenderness every month or twice a month. 2) If that indentation becomes symptomatic like soreness, redness, immediately consult your doctor 3) Breast asymmetry is not uncommon but if there is a great asymmetry or it is increasing, consult your gynecologist
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
