Hi
Thanks for posting your concern on HCM.
I appreciate your concern for the auditory
hallucinations and negative thoughts.
I have gone through your problems diligently, the features are suggestive of early shizophrenia.
It occurs as a result of biochemical (
neurotransmitters) imbalances in the brain.
Schizophrenia is a type of psychosis with clear sensorium.
It is characterized by two group of symptoms:
Positive symptoms: Delusions, illusions, auditory hallucinations, thought disorders & aggressive behavior.
Negative symptoms: poor socialization, emotional blunting, lack of motivation & attention and loss of memory.
In view of the above explanation, you are advised to visit a
psychiatrist for proper assessment and early treatment.
Recovery is possible through a variety of services, including medication and
rehabilitation programs.
Rehabilitation can help a person recover the confidence and skills needed to live a productive and independent life in the community.
If these measures fail, then the psychiatrist may start using antipsychotic medications.
Atypical antipsychotics are useful in treating both the positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia, often with fewer side effects and they also decrease the likelihood of relapse.
Hope these suggestions could be helpful in seeking early consultation and treatment of the present problem.
Wishing you good health.
