What Causes Aura Flashes In The Eye And Headaches While On Atenolol?

I am a 75 year old female. I take 25 mg of Atenonol in morning and 25 mg in evening. I have been having aura flashes in my eye and headache on right side of my forehead. I took my BP and it was 180/70, normally is 125/ 70. My question is can I take another 25mg of Atenonol now and check my BP in an hour?

hi...
atenolol is B- blocker...
flashes in eye and light headeche is common side effect of it...
now as you are already taking atenolol morning and evening but still blood pressure is high..
so tou have to increase dose from 25 to 50...it must be increase after doctors consultation..
