What Causes Back And Right Abdomen Pain During A Pregnancy?

yes I am 8 weeks pregnant and for the past week have had severe shooting pain in my lower back on the right side. It shoots down my leg and into my lower right side of my abdomane. It's continued to get worse and is now at the point that I can barely walk, standing is near impossible and no matter how I sit or lay it still hurts severely. What could this be and is it something I need to get checked?

welcome to Health care magic.
1.Yes you need to see your Doctor as soon as possible and immediate ultrasound scan for evaluation.
2.Similar pains are seen in the pregnancy failure / miscarriage. So visit ER if possible.
3.An immediate ultrasound can help. The other cause can be ovarian pathology, renal stones, appendix, bowel pathology.
4.Visit doctor before it gets complicated.

Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
