What Causes Back Pain After Walking?

Why does the small of my back hurt whenever I walk distances? Lately, my friends and I have begun to walk on the track after school. It is a 1/4 mile tract and after about the second lap, the middle of the small of my back begins to pain and escalates the more I walk. I am overweight but have never had this happen before on walks.

Welcome at HCM
I appreciate your health concerns
What is your age? Any diabetes or hypertension? Any history of trauma?
Localized back pain without radiation into legs needs to be investigated. It appear most probably a musculoskeletal pain. A x ray of lumbosacral spine is very helpful in this setting.
Stay calm and use muscle relaxants along with acetaminophen. Do meet orthopedic surgeon once.
Hope it helps
