What Causes Back Pain And Abdominal Pain Along With Negative Pregnancy Result?
I have been having lots of pressure in lower abdomen also a lil swelling also lower back aches ..i have had short menstrual cycles the last two months..i believe I am pregnant but I took a pregnancy test at home and also the doctors took a urine sample to see came back negative could it be that my hormone levels are very low that it isn t showing up on a urine test.???

Hi,
If I were your treating doctor, I would have done a blood beta HCG titre and a ultrasound of abdomen & pelvis to rule out ectopic pregnancy.
In case both blood and ultrasound comes negative, other possible causes like pelvic inflammatory disease, urinary tract infection, endometriosis, PCOD and kidney pathology must be investigated.
