What Causes Back Pain And Brown Colored Vaginal Discharge After Taking I-pill?

I had unprotected sex wid my husband on 4 day of my periods. I had ipill within 36 hrs. A week later we again had unprotected sex n I had brown vaginal bleeding that lasted for 4 days. I again had I pill after having sex within 36 hours. we had unprotected sex again after 5 days followed by I pill again. Now m having backpain and vaginal discharge stained with brown blood. Is this normal?

Hi,

Multiple doses of iPill itself can cause slight bleeding and irregular cycles because of hormonal disturbances. This not to be taken repeatedly as a replacement for barrier method. Also, it is not needed to take iPill after sex on day 4 of cycle, as first 10 days are safer (first 7 days if cycles are irregular). If there are repeated needs of emergency pills, it will be better to use IUD like copper T.

Just take paracetamol thrice daily for 2 days. If back pain doesn't does not get better or discharge increase / fowl smelling, kindly see your doctor for further evaluation to rule out any genito-urinary infection.
