What Causes Back Pain And Swelling In The Feet?

My husband has been out of the country for 5 days. He developed pain in his back on the way from Houston to Nicaragua. He has been in pain the whole time he has been gone. He was given some pain medication from the pharmacy while he was there. He also has had swelling in his feet for three days. He has had a kidney stone in the past, so I am thinking that might be the cause. Can the feet swelling be related? He is on his way home now. He has another flight to go. Vicki

Hi,

The back pain may be related to muscle spasm, referred pain from the calculus or else.

The swelling feet can be due to the dependent position, alteration in kidney or heart function or others. As soon as he arrives, it is recommended to consult him at ER.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
